Every Rain integration starts with the same three things: API keys, webhooks, and a compliance-approved customer. Complete these once, then jump into the quickstart for the product you’re building.

Our goals with partners as you start building.

Complete these three steps

Identify your program type and management model first. It determines which application type you submit when you request compliance approval.
1

Get your API keys

Accept your Rain Dashboard invite, then copy your API key and secret from the Developer page. You use them to authenticate every request.See Set Up Access for the full walkthrough.
2

Configure webhooks

Add your webhook URL in the Webhooks tab of the Dashboard so you catch events like application status changes, transactions, and transfers as they happen.See Connect Webhooks for setup instructions and signature verification.
3

Create a test user

Submit a KYC or KYB application for your customer, then confirm the application status reaches approved before you continue. Poll the application or listen for a webhook. In sandbox, give the user a last name that contains approved (such as TestApproved) and the application approves automatically. Call POST /applications/user with the full KYC payload:
Save the returned id. You need it to issue a card or open an account in the next quickstart.See Onboard a Cardholder for the full compliance flow.

Choose your product

With an approved customer in place, pick the quickstart for the product you’re building:

Issue your first card

Go from an approved customer to a funded, spendable card.

Open a virtual account

Create a payment route and receive fiat that converts to stablecoin on-chain.

Make a cross-border payout

Send stablecoin that lands as fiat in another country.
