Rain restricts payment routes by region, country, and industry as part of its compliance program. If a restriction applies, the payment route creation request is rejected. These restrictions are one part of Rain’s Payments compliance checks, which also verify the account owner and screen transactions.
These restrictions apply to payment routes: opening a virtual account or making a cross-border payout. For merchant-category restrictions on card spending, see Blocked MCCs and Merchants in the Cards tab.
