# microDeposit.received

> Rain notifies you when a deposit too small to process arrives on one of your payment routes

  ### microDeposit.received webhook

  Added the `microDeposit.received` webhook. Rain sends this event when a deposit smaller than Rain's \$2.00 minimum arrives on one of your payment routes. Most of these deposits exist to verify account ownership: an external service sends a credit under `$1.00` and asks your customer to confirm the amount, which proves the account is real and belongs to them. Rain records the deposit and tells you about it, but never processes it as a transfer, so Rain creates no transaction and converts no funds. Only routes with a fiat deposit address receive these events.

  | `body.description` | `string` (optional) | Bank memo. Trial deposits carry `ACCTVERIFY` |
  | `body.originatorName` | `string` (optional) | Name of the party that sent the deposit |
  | `body.referenceId` | `string` (optional) | ACH trace number, or IMAD for a wire |
  | `body.receivedAt` | `string` | ISO 8601 timestamp of when the deposit arrived |
